Brad Dean Alexander began performing at 7 years old, and won countless competitions as well as performing at music festivals, and accompanying the choirs at his schools. He was always singing in choirs and in school bands playing piano, clarinet, or percussion. He started teaching piano lessons at 15 and has had thousands of students in his after school piano class programs, and home studio in East York, and the Toronto Beaches. As much as he enjoys teaching and inspiring new musicians, his first love has always been performing. He headlined at many piano bar venues through the 90’s in Toronto and finally landed his dream job as a piano bar entertainer with Carnival Cruise Line in 2004 after taking a cruise and performing in the guest talent show. Since then he has had the opportunity to sail across the world and entertain nightly in his own piano bar on cruise ships. He combines his musical talent and quick wit into an interactive show where his audience is encouraged make requests and sing along with him, and laugh throughout the show at original song parodies and good old comedy. He studied improv and stand-up comedy at The Second City and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Music History from the University of Toronto, as well as his completed training at the Royal Conservatory for classical piano.
He is currently working on his debut album, and has singles on Spotify/Apple Music/Deezer, etc.
Since the COVID pandemic he has been doing 7pm Wednesday night Facebook Live shows and various virtual events, as well as writing new music and recording.
His new project, “Virtual Dinner and a Show” was hatched out of not begin able to perform live in an interactive setting. Clients get a show tailored to them by choosing songs from his extensive request list and being live with him on Zoom. It got the attention of NEWSTALK 1010 and Global News in Toronto for being an innovative way to bring live music into people’s home during the pandemic lockdowns, and also supporting local restaurants by encouraging clients to order in and enjoy a Virtual Dinner and a Show supporting a local restaurant and artist.
